Almanac is pleased to present the first edition of the Gail Cochrane Fellowship, established from the desire of the Cochrane family and Almanac to carry forward the commitment, energy, and love with which Gail Cochrane always supported artistic experimentation and research.
The fellowship is dedicated to Italian artists under 35 and offers a two-month residency at Almanac in 2026, a stipend, an acquisition prize for a work, and the opportunity to present the research developed during the residency.
Applications are open until December 1st, 2025.
The artist will be selected on the basis of their application by a committee of friends and close collaborators of Gail, including Stefano Arienti, Isabella Bortolozzi, Guido Costa, Angela Vettese, Maurizio Vetrugno, the Almanac team, and members of the Cochrane family.
The winner will be announced in January 2026.
