New Gen 2026 is the final exhibition of the fourth edition of New Gen, a project dedicated to the training and development of young artists under 30, organised in collaboration between Almanac, Cripta747 and Mucho Mas!.

Through an open call, eight artists were selected, five from the Piedmont region and three from elsewhere in Italy: Guglielmo Buzzelli, Sveva Conte, Greta Maria Gerosa, Marco Mandorlini, Giulio Polloniato, Eva Vallania and Samuele Zenere.

For the 2026 edition, the role of tutors was entrusted to Giulia Crispiani, Invernomuto and Aterraterra who, together with the curatorial teams of the three independent spaces, supported the artists throughout the laboratory and production phases through visiting sessions, mentoring and collective discussions. For the exhibition, the artists present new works developed in response to the themes, ideas and critical issues that emerged during the weeks of the laboratory.

In response to a context that still offers few opportunities for horizontal exchange between emerging generations of creatives and professionals in the field, the project has created a space for sharing practices, languages and perspectives, where each participant has been able to present their work, engage in dialogue and critically reflect on their own position within the contemporary art landscape.

New Gen is a project by Almanac, Cripta747 and Mucho Mas!, supported by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, Fondazione CRT and Regione Piemonte.
