Natura Morta is the solo project and battlefield of the performance artist, DJ, musician and illustrator Maria Mallol Moya. Longtime nomad Maria Mallol was born in Bogota- Colombia and has moved across Europe touring in several music and theatre projects. stiles go from experimental jazz to garage psyche rock. Poli-instrumentist, dyslexic and a positive-nihilist, The path of NATURAMORTA is the one of self-questioning, knowing that through the reflection of human concepts such as life, death, space, time and language we dig deep into a greater knowledge of history and evolution. Maria Mallol has found in music the most sincere and universal way of communication, and is in this ground, sound itself, that she has grown the best way to confront public with this very basic and important topics, starting from senses and primitive emotions, to build then a speech in which everyone can find a commonplace, common sins and common virtues. After all, we are a universal net of information in which the singularity is just the random combination of common elements; and that is precisely the objective of Maria's artistic speech: the recognition of both the common elements, and the singular combination, in every soul she finds in her path, because is only in that recognition that one can find the empathy to fulfill the greatest expression of love: love to every form of life.
