Viola Lo Moro & Grosso Bernardo
Post-zoo (cognition of the living)08 June 2025
Turin
h.18, at Parco Michelotti, Casa dei grandi Felini
In the former zoo of Turin, now part of Parco Michelotti, poet Viola Lo Moro and composer Grosso Bernardo present a site-specific performance that weaves together electroacoustic sound and voice. Once a space of captivity and spectacle, today a public park, the former zoological garden becomes the starting point for a shared exercise in imagination.
Through layered sounds, live readings, and vocal scores, the duo engages with the acoustic, architectural, and emotional resonances of the site. The act of listening—both individual and collective—opens the zoo to a temporary transformation, turning it into a space of reclaiming, where counter-narratives to the anthropocentric paradigm emerge.
The performance navigates contrasting tensions, reflecting the dissonances of the site in an open dialogue between past and present.
The intervention will take place on Sunday, June 8 at 6 pm at the "casa dei grandi felini" in the Michelotti Park, here.
Participation is free and open to all. No reservation is required.
Viola Lo Moro is a poet and activist, Grosso Bernardo is a composer and musician. Both based in Rome, they collaborate on a shared project that moves across sound, performance, poetry, and social imagination.
