Bo Wielders
Residenza Bo Wielders28 October—22 December 2025
Turin
Bo Wielders (1998, The Netherlands) is the artist-in-residence at Almanac during the months of November and December. During her residency, she will continue her research into forms of information organization, working with the books and catalogues of Almanac’s library.
Bo’s interests revolve around language, architecture, and archiving. Through her work, she investigates the power dynamics inherent in these fields and the consequences of systems of classification and access to knowledge. This has often led her to focus on the library as a meeting place between book, body, and architecture. In parallel, Bo explores representations of (hyper)realities through writing and drawing, celebrating the imaginary and the magical as ways to expand notions of reality.
Bo has a background in sculpture (Royal Academy of Art, The Hague) and is completing a master’s degree in literary studies at the University of Antwerp. In 2024-25, she was a research resident at MORPHO (Antwerp), where she organized reading groups and workshops around the theme of the library. Together with Ire Nikoniuk, she forms the writing duo Naked Sandwich and has collaborated with Harriet Rose Morley on sculptures and exhibitions for PA/////KT and puntWG in Amsterdam.
The residency is part of the annual exchange between Almanac and MORPHO, an Antwerp-based organization offering studios and international residency programmes and realized in partnership with nthspace Torino.
